I have yet to hear anything from Mark Mathis that I have not loved. From his solo singer/songwriter releases to his band Public Radio he is a great songwriter.

Music Tuesday: Pearl Jam-Yellow Ledbetter

I have always had a soft spot for Pearl Jam. They are the Aerosmith of my generation. In my opinion they are leagues above the other bands to come out of the nineties grunge scene. They were not just head-banging mindless music. They simply wrote great songs.

Recently I downloaded a new Pear Jam live cd from iTunes. It reminded me of the sounds that I feel in love with when I was a teenager.

They are still out there. Still writing new material, which pushes the boundaries of what hey have done before. Still touring and playing GREAT live shows.

What more can you ask of a rock band.

I absolutely love these guys. They are so unique and great song writers. A little bit country and a little bit rock and roll!
